Back in January we found these cute little chairs (among other things) at Goodwill.
As you may have noticed Maddie was particularly excited about her new pink bean bag.
I had been on the hunt for a small table to go with the little chairs for a few weeks when I came across this guy at GW for $9.99. It was in pretty good shape other than the top where some little rascal had drawn all over it with a permanent marker. It was pretty easy to sand off as you can tell from the picture below.
I had some left over chalkboard paint from a project I did, so I decided to make a chalkboard table for the kids to draw on. (No time out for drawing on this table!)
My kiddos love this table and I have to admit….I enjoy doing a little artwork on it myself. :)
For a while we had a the little bucket filled with colored chalk but quickly found that the colored chalk does not like to come out of the carpets. So for now we are just using the white chalk.
I also used the chalkboard paint to make little labels on these herb pots I found at Lowes. They were only $1.48 a piece and they came with the pot, seeds, and dirt. What a deal!
I got one of each.
I sketched out the area I wanted the chalkboard labels and then painted them in using my pencil lines as a guide. I gave then a couple coats of paint and after they dried wrote the names of the herbs on each one.
Now if I can only keep them alive…..
